I coach busy women all the time that have a hard time saying NO. Sometimes they work really hard to get their schedules clear then they blink and it’s overbooked again. Before coaching and getting clear about what I want to be, accomplish and give to others with my life I often ran myself ragged doing too many things. As women we can be pretty resilient to living short periods of our life in this ragged state. Often it’s not until our “raggedness” begins to affect our family, our friendships and our jobs do we stop to search for a better way. The most powerful tool I have EVER experienced and have been practicing for more than a decade is found in the 4 questions in the above image. I don’t even recall where I got them. But when I came across them I jotted them down on a 4×6 card and have carried that 4×6 card in my Daytimer ever since. It’s still there to this day though I rarely look at it because the questions are ingrained in my memory. Now I just naturally assess new opportunities through the filter of those foundational questions.
